Semaglutide & Tirzepatide: Clinician-Guided Options

Semaglutide (brand name Ozempic® / Wegovy®) is a GLP-1* medication initially developed to help people with type 2 diabetes by improving insulin regulation and lowering blood sugar. During clinical use, providers also observed significant weight loss benefits, leading to FDA approval of semaglutide for weight management under the name Wegovy®.

We also offer tirzepatide (brand name Mounjaro® / Zepbound®), another highly effective injectable for weight management. It is a "dual agonist," meaning it mimics two hormones, GLP-1* and GIP**, that regulate appetite and blood sugar.

Today, semaglutide and tirzepatide are available through compounding pharmacies at more affordable price points — and that’s the version we can provide to our clients. They are mixed with B6/B12 vitamins to reduce nausea and give you more energy!

Both medications are:

  • Clinician-prescribed and monitored

  • Shipped directly to your home with all the necessary supplies

  • Supported with monthly check-ins to keep you safe and on track

* GLP-1: glucagon-like peptide-1 **GIP: glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide

How Do They Work?

Both semaglutide (Ozempic®/Wegovy®) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro®/Zepbound®) belong to a class of medications called GLP-1 receptor agonists. These treatments mimic natural hormones that help regulate blood sugar, slow down digestion, and send signals of fullness to the brain. The result: many people feel satisfied with smaller portions and experience fewer cravings.

Clinical studies have shown that both medications can support meaningful, sustainable weight loss over time. And when paired with simple lifestyle changes — like balanced nutrition and movement — results can be even more effective.

In one study, individuals treated with semaglutide lost an average of 9-13 percent of their body weight over the course of a year without making any changes to their diet and exercise habits.  Now imagine what's possible with a few targeted lifestyle adjustments? Reducing the food noise makes these lifestyle changes less difficult.

Are They Safe?

When prescribed and monitored by a licensed clinician, both semaglutide and tirzepatide have been shown to be safe and effective for long-term weight management. Like any medication, they may cause side effects. The most common are mild gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, or constipation.

To minimize these effects, we always begin at a low dose and gradually increase until we find the ideal dose for you.

These medications may not be appropriate if you have type 1 diabetes, a history of pancreatitis, or if you or a family member has had certain thyroid cancers. During your consult, we’ll review your health history carefully to make sure the treatment plan is safe and appropriate.
